Golden Hour actually smells good. I’ve even had strangers ask what scent I’m wearing. But more importantly: It works. I’ve tested Golden Hour both in the city and countryside, and so far I’m happily bite-free.

The story of Golden Hour began in Bali, where our founder encountered a strain of Citronella that was unlike anything she had tried before.

FAQs
You bet! Golden Hour's performance has been tested against Aedes Aegypti mosquitoes through two rounds of double-blind testing by an independent lab. While independent results depend on your skin's unique biome, the lab confirmed an average of 3+ hours of protection time for most people. We have hundreds of rave reviews, too!
Golden Hour has only been tested against Aedes Aegypti mosquitoes. We hope to do additional testing soon to confirm protection against other types of insects.
We recommend consulting your doctor before applying any product to children, especially those under <6 months of age. For children 6 months or older, the product is safe for use when applied by an adult and used as directed. When applying to children, use the wipe to pat gently onto their skin. Do not use on the hands of children. If you have specific questions or concerns, we recommend talking to your doctor, as they know you and the needs of your family best.
We recommend reapplying every 2 - 4 hours, or as often as needed.
Use It When
Any time you'd rather not be snacked on by bugs while dining al fresco, sitting around the campfire, or enjoying an evening stroll.
Directions
Once outside, spray liberally over exposed skin or fitted clothing. Use adult supervision when applying to children. When applying to your face or to children, spray into hands first and pat to apply. Do not use on the hands of children. Reapply every 2 hours or as often as needed. We recommend patch testing on a small area of skin when using for the first time or when using in a new environment, as our product contains essential oils.
Recycling
This product is packaged with a mix of recyclable and non-recyclable materials.
Plastic Bottle
Made from Type 1 plastic, this bottle should be cleaned out and recycled curbside. Don't forget to remove the label!
Spray Pump
Spray misters are made from both plastic and metal, so they can't be recycled at home. Instead, send them to us or to Terracycle to be recycled.

Seems to work well so far
I notice wearing it that mosquitoes flying about are flying in my view but keep away. I notice with my kids when I have it on and I don't put in on their face because it's very strong (smell) that it seems to ward them off. With that said, it's fairly pungent so make sure you spray yourself outside and check to see if anyone is downwind of you

This actually works
I live on a swampy lot in Alabama where the mosquitos are TERRIBLE, despite treating the property for them. This is the ONLY spray I’ve ever used that keeps not only the mosquitos, but all the little gnats and flying bugs, away from me and the mower. It is an absolute game changer for me.
