Will Golden Hour really help repel mosquitoes?

You bet! Golden Hour's performance has been tested against Aedes Aegypti mosquitoes through two rounds of double-blind testing by an independent lab. While independent results depend on your skin's unique biome, the lab confirmed an average of 3+ hours of protection time for most people. We have hundreds of rave reviews, too!

Use It When

Any time you'd rather not be snacked on by bugs while dining al fresco, sitting around the campfire, or enjoying an evening stroll.

Directions

Once outside, spray liberally over exposed skin or fitted clothing. Use adult supervision when applying to children. When applying to your face or to children, spray into hands first and pat to apply. Do not use on the hands of children. Reapply every 2 hours or as often as needed. We recommend patch testing on a small area of skin when using for the first time or when using in a new environment, as our product contains essential oils.

Recycling

This product is packaged with a mix of recyclable and non-recyclable materials.

Plastic Bottle

Made from Type 1 plastic, this bottle should be cleaned out and recycled curbside. Don't forget to remove the label!

Spray Pump

Spray misters are made from both plastic and metal, so they can't be recycled at home. Instead, send them to us or to Terracycle to be recycled.

Tried and tested in alaska

I bought my bottle a while ago, but never left a review because I wasn’t *sure* it worked. I live in Seattle, and we have mosquitos, sure, but not like THAT if you know what I mean. Well, we recently traveled to Alaska, mosquitos the size of crane flies. And the spray worked! Every day we wore spray no bites! The days we didn’t- well, let’s say the 2 days I forgot to spray I left with 26 bites. Also it smells good- like you’re wearing perfume. The only thing I didn’t like is that when you spray you really can’t breath- it really aerosolizes in the area.
