Our first sunscreen made especially for body is here! Cloud Cover is your newest adventure buddy—made with non-nano zinc for broad spectrum SPF 35, and water-resistant so it can keep up no matter where the day takes you.

Are you sure it won't leave a white cast? Even on darker skin tones?

We tested and trialed Cloud Cover on a variety of skin tones to ensure it would melt in without leaving behind a trace. It is an untinted mineral sunscreen, so it will appear white out of the tube. However, once applied and blended in, it melts easily into the skin to leave only a dewy finish behind—no white cast in sight!

Can I use Cloud Cover with tattoos?

Absolutely! Mineral sunscreen is the safest to use with tattoos. While we haven’t tested our sunscreen on tattoos in a lab, we have a ton of customers (including us!) who love to wear Kinfield SPF over their tattoos for the utmost protection. Because all of our sunscreens blend seamlessly into the skin, there won’t be a white cast left to alter the appearance of your tattoos either!

How often should I reapply?

We (and the FDA) recommend re-applying every two hours. However, if you’re swimming, surfing, or generally splashing around in water, then we recommend re-applying every 80 minutes or as soon as you dry off. Cloud Cover is water-resistant for up to 80 minutes.

Where should I store it?

Keep your tube of Cloud Cover in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.

Is Cloud Cover safe for kids?

Yes! The formula absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave a sticky feel on your skin. Your kids (and you!) will love it. It’s free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, and synthetic fragrances. If you’re at all concerned, you can find the full list of ingredients on the product page for ease of review with your pediatrician.

Is Cloud Cover broad-spectrum?

Is Cloud Cover vegan?

Yes it is! All our products at Kinfield are vegan, cruelty-free, and Leaping Bunny certified.

Is Cloud Cover made with clean ingredients?

Yes. We believe in making products that are Made Safe for People + Planet, so we work with ingredients that are shown to be safe for use on the skin, without being environmentally damaging.

Unlike many sunscreens, we do not use any PEGs, parabens, sulfates, phthalates, synthetic fragrances, or chemical SPFs—making Daily Dew a go-to choice for anyone looking for a physical SPF that’s earth and skin-friendly.

Does Cloud Cover have a scent or added fragrance?

Here’s the thing: we started off making an unscented product, but then found out that zinc smells a bit like paint. Yikes.

We wanted to make the best possible sunscreen that would be delightful to use every day, so we worked with one of the best teams in the business to develop a light signature scent, made only from natural plant oils that you’ll recognize. Our fragrance is certified natural across international standards (ISO 9235).

Our sunscreen's signature breezy, Mediterranean-inspired scent has notes of citrusy bergamot, fresh petitgrain, and mandarin oil, with the lightest touch of grapefruit and lime.

For those with sensitive noses, rest easy—we added it with a light hand (less than 1% of the formula), so you’ll catch a faint waft of it while applying but won’t notice the scent once it’s blended in.

Can I use it while playing sports?

Yes! Cloud Cover was made for every day, but able to keep up with any adventure. It is certified to be water resistant for 80+ minutes, so you can sweat, run, and play with abandon—even on the hottest summer days.
